DUBLIN – The Bangs Lady Dragons came up short in a five-set District 8-3A volleyball match at Dublin Saturday, falling to 1-3 in league play and 4-7 overall.
“We played very well, we just need to finish,” said Bangs second-year head coach Cheyanne Lovelady. “We are walking away with a few things to work on and when they get to our house we will be ready for them. I’m so proud of this group of girls, they fight and they never back down. We improve every single day and that will pay off for them in the long run.”
Maggie Morales led Bangs with 10 kills followed by five each from Jacee Miller and Cloie Montague, while Brooklyn Mullins added four.
Miller and Jordyn Pitts each served four aces while Skylar Hutchins dished out two.
Halle Lance recorded nine assists while Hadley King chipped in five.
Hutchins led the way with 37 digs trailed by Lance with 13 and Miller with 12.
The Lady Dragons are back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when they host Early.
