The 9U Brown County Outlaws official tryouts will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the green top baseball fields at The Bert V. Massey Sports Complex.

According to a Facebook post by Marc Followwell:

Our goal is to have enough kids to have 2 teams. This is a huge benefit to the Athlete as that many more kids can get in consistent reps and game time situations that will help prepare us for the following Summer Season.

Please note this is SELECT baseball. Meaning, there will be a selection process in which case some kids may not be selected. Key Factors that will be taken into consideration during the selection process are as follows: Hitting, Fielding, Throwing, Base Running, ATTITUDE, and Commitment.

Our current expectations as a team(s) for the fall season is 1 Full Practice a week with at least every other week having a 60-90 minute skill sessions focusing on certain but more detailed aspects of the game. We WILL travel outside of the area to attend at least 3 tournaments while also trying to schedule exhibition games here locally where possible. Some tournaments may require overnight stays.

We want to wish each and every athlete that attends the tryout the best of luck! We are looking forward to our first year in Kid Pitch. There is a lot to learn but we are excited to see these kids grow.

For more information, contact Followwell at 325-200-2581.

Tryouts begin at 10 a.m. but coaches will be on site earlier to assist kids in getting checked in, warmed up, and ready to start on time. Also, please have your own child bring their own drink as drinks will not be provided due to COVID-19.
