The Brownwood Country Club recently announced it will again host the Citizens National Bank Labor Day Match Play Tournament Friday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Sept. 7.
A blast from the past, the four-day tournament is a true two-man match play. A shootout will kick off the action Friday afternoon and play will Saturday through Monday. Saturday night a dinner will be provided for players and others that RSVP, as well as raffle items and a live auction.
In addition to bringing back one of the top tournaments in central Texas, the beneficiary of the tournament is one hometown favorites James Crow. Crow is now fighting Leukemia for the third time and will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from the tournament as well as 100 percent of the proceeds from the raffle items and the live auction being held Saturday night.
