JUNCTION – The Bangs Lady Dragons were again denied in their bid for their first volleyball victory of the season Saturday afternoon, dropping a five-set road decision to the Junction Lady Eagles.
“The girls worked really hard,” said Lady Dragons second-year head coach Cheyanne Lovelady. “We’ve been growing and improving every game. It’s been a hard transition with so many new hitters this year.”
Kylie Salazar paced the Lady Dragons with seven kills followed by six each from Brooklyn Mullins and Maggie Morales. Jordyn Pitts, Halle Lance and Morales served two aces each, while Skylar Hutchins led the defensive effort with 32 digs.
Bangs (0-3) will again target its first win at 6:30 p.m. Friday when it hosts Evant.
