On Friday July 31, Deputy Greg Parrott, responded to Avenue D in Brownwood. This was to assist Brownwood police officers with an individual. The individual presented with psychotic features and was determined to be a danger to herself. While attempting to transport the individual to Mulberry St. in Brownwood, the individual refused transport and force had to be applied towards her. Once at Mulberry St., force again had to be applied to restrain the individual or deputies.
On Tuesday, Aug. 4, Lt. Pete Bastardo met with an individual in regard to someone using her husband’s identity in order to apply for unemployment benefits in the state of Colorado. A report was taken and there are no known suspects at this time.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, Deputy Andre Smoot with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Third Street in May to a Burglary of Vehicle Call. Once on scene, all pertinent information was gathered including photographs of the vehicle, dust for latent prints, and a report for further investigation was completed.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, Lt. Pete Bastardo spoke with an individual in regard to theft. The individual was reporting her feline cat was stolen. There are no suspects at this time.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher received a report a broken down car had been stolen from U.S. Highway 183/84 South. It was later determined the car had been towed by Mills County Sheriff’s Office.
