Brown County Commissioners met Monday morning at the County Courthouse with Commissioner Joel Kelton presiding in the absence of Judge Paul Lilly. Commissioners Worley and Shaw were also present.
Due to continued dry weather conditions, Commissioners left the Brown County Burn Ban in effect.
Commissioners approved spending $1,250 for modification of an existing window in rural addressing, similar to what has been done in other county offices, for Covid safeguards. Covid funds will be used to pay for the project.
Commissioners also approved Commissioner Kelton’s request to hire a temporary full-time employee, at $12.00 per hour, for three months.
Speaking during citizen comments was Fran Mcduff who owns The Villa Beach at Lake Brownwood. Among her complaints is that access to her property is being blocked by an adjacent landowner. No action was taken by Commissioners since the item was not on the agenda.
