Allen Perry Brooker, 77 (Coleman)

Allen Perry Brooker, age 77, of Coleman, died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.

The family will host a visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday July 29, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Sherman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brown Ranch Cemetery at Fisk, Coleman County, Texas.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Allen was born April 16, 1943 in Fisk, Texas in southern Coleman County to William Henry “Buster” Brooker and Ethel Maureen Ballard Brooker.  He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School.  Allen married Betty Johnson on November 17, 1967 in Brownwood.  He was a spot welder for Dry Manufacturing in Winters and was a member of the Assembly of God church.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vivian Brooker, and Doris Parker; and two brothers, Henry Brooker, and Coy Brooker.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Brooker of Winters; one son, Timothy Brooker of Coleman; his sisters, Wanda Rohacek and husband Jim of Ballinger, Pamela Thate and husband Kenneth of Burkett, and Linda Craker of Abilene; his sisters in law, Nell Hasserodt and husband Leon of Coleman and Sue Brooker of Coleman.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Allen to the Jimmie Swaggart Ministries at www.jsm.org.
