Two staff members and one Youth Development Coach at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Complex, in Brownwood, tested positive for COVID-19 Friday.
Since the start of the pandemic, 133 staff members at the agency’s secure facilities have tested positive for COVID-19, including 25 at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex. There have also been 144 youth at the agency’s secure facilities that have tested positive for COVID-19, including two in Brownwood.
Also Friday:
• 38 youth at the Giddings State School have recovered from COVID-19 and been medically cleared to return to their dorms. The campus currently has 9 remaining youth on medical quarantine.
• 1 youth at the Evins Regional Juvenile Center, in Edinburg, tested positive for COVID-19.
• 1 Youth Development Coach at the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility, in Mart, tested positive for COVID-19.
