Reita Bowman, age 75, of Santa Anna, died Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

She was born Reita Sue Crabb on November 15, 1944 in Coleman to Perry Crabb and Sammie Ruth DuBois Crabb.  Reita grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1963.  She went on to attend beauty school and became a beautician.  Reita worked as a beautician at the Magic Mirror Salon in Brownwood.  She then entered a career in law enforcement.  Reita worked for the Midland Police Department for 12 years, worked at the Eden Detention Center as a prison guard, and then worked for the Runnels County Sheriff Department.  She loved to crochet and make small wood crafts.  Reita married Benjamin Bowman in Ballinger and together they traveled all over the state.   Most of all, Reita loved spending time with her family and friends.   She loved her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.  Reita attended the First Baptist Church in Santa Anna and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Reita is preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Sammie Crabb, and her husband, Benjamin Bowman.

She is survived by her sons, Doug Tucker of Santa Anna, Dwayne Tucker of Noodle, and David Tucker and wife Annisa of Santa Anna; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her niece, Pam Longley of Burleson.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Reita to Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene, 1651 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
