Brownwood News- The Brown County Commissioners will meet, at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2020, in the Brown County Courthouse in Brownwood to discuss a number of items posted on the agenda. Here is the agenda:
NOTICE OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF BROWN COUNTY, TEXAS
Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court shall be held at 9:00 a.m. on June 22nd
2020, in the COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM, at the Brown County Courthouse, 200 South Broadway St., Brownwood Texas, 76801 and shall continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code ofthe State of Texas. The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer
3. Citizen Comments
(All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 12, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)
4. Consideration and approval of minutes of June 15th, 2020.
5. Consideration and approval of any Treasurer’s/ Auditor’s Report.
6. Consideration and approval of payment of any bills needed.
7. Consideration and approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:
A. Mr. Gary Worley, Commissioner Pct. 1- Consideration and possible approval of action to install private line on CR 201 by Brookesmith SUD;
B. Mr. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;
C. Mr. y.Jayne Shaw, Commissioner Pct. 3 – Consideration and possible approval of action to install private line on CR 291 by the Zephyr Water Supply;
D. Lisa Dick, Administrator, Brownwood-Brown County Health Department-Update on COVID19 response and County health initiatives (spon p2);
E. Judy Brownlee, Chairperson Brownwood-Brown County Child Welfare Board-Consideration and possible approval of appointing Jennifer Barberie and Lindy Mason to Child Welfare Board (spon cj);
F. Buddy Preston, City of Brownwood Fire Marshall – Consideration and possible approval of a resolution to allow the City of Brownwood to file its Hazard Mitigation Plan as an extension to the Brown County Hazard Mitigation Plan (spon cj);
G. James Masters, Brown County Veterans Service Officer- Consideration and possible approval to transfer $1,200k from travel budget to purchase two software packages for Veterans claims processing software (spon cj);
H. James Masters, Brown County VSO-Annual report on Veterans Service Office (spon cj);
I. Jay Mcinnis, Dominion Point Inc, and Ray West- Consideration and possible approval of Dominion Point IV plat, which amends the Dominion Point Ill plat approved 8-19-19 (spon p2);

Agenda items may be considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth above. The Brown County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any above items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
