Billy S. Brown, Jr., age 56, of Santa Anna, died Friday, June 5, 2020 at Coleman Healthcare.
The family will host a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
A graveside funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Richard Hetzel, officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
He was born Billy Sylvester Brown, Jr. on November 24, 1963 in Fort Riley, Kansas to Billy Sylvester Brown, Sr., and Vonnie Parker Brown. With Billy’s father being in the military, he grew up in Alaska, Alabama, Kansas, Texas, and Florida. He graduated from Walton High School in De Funiak Springs, Florida and attended Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Alabama. Billy obtained a degree in computer programming and was the IT Director for Ostar Kamp Trucking in California. Billy married Elizabeth Hammond on November 24, 1989 in East Point, Georgia. They recently made their home in Santa Anna before Billy became ill. Billy loved anything having to do with astrology. He would repeatedly watch the Star Trek series, Star Wars movies, and anything sci-fi. Billy was a collector of elephant figurines and was and avid Auburn fan.
Billy is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Brown of Santa Anna; his children, Jessica Gonzalez and husband Anthony of Killeen, Billy Brown III and girlfriend Jane Pittman of Chowchilla, California, Jimmie Brown of Clanton, Alabama; his grandchildren, Laura Gonzalez, Sakura Gonzalez, Tidus Gonzalez, Hailey Gonzalez; his brother, Barry Brown and wife Sandy of Brenham; his sisters, Virginia Smith and husband Lester of Beaumont, Karen Hess of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Cindy Lyles and husband Paul of Reeves, Louisiana; and his parents, Bill and Vonnie Brown of Reeves, Louisiana.
