Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department has responded to the following calls in recent days.
On Thursday, May 21, at approximately 14:35, SO units were dispatched to a location at County Road 175 in Bangs in reference to a domestic disturbance.
On May 21, at approximately 16:31 hours, Cpl. Hopson responded to FM 1849 and Highway 279 for a vehicle fire. The incident was documented.
On May 23, Deputy Ashley Harris responded to Brownwood Regional Medical Center at 23:12 hours. This was for an assault reported by Brownwood Regional Medical staff. A report was made.
On May 22, deputies attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant on a man at a residence on First Street in Brownwood. He fled on foot and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit on Durham Avenue.

On May 23, at approximately 15:51 hours, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to meet Deputy M. McCoy at Thunderbird Bay gas station regarding found property.
On May 24, at 20:14 hours, Deputy M. Davis and Deputy T. Fletcher were dispatched to FM 1849. This was regarding a reported disturbance which occurred at FM 1849. Prior to SO arrival, dispatch advised the victim had left her residence and was at a neighbor, calling for assistance.
On May 24, at around 20:05 hours, Deputy Ashley Harris responded to Pawnee Drive and Tamarack Drive for an accident involving a mini bike. A report was made.
On Monday, May 25, at about 15:46 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Parkside Drive in Brownwood. This was in regards to a theft. Deputy Langley spoke to a male victim who stated he had been told by his neighbor that another neighbor had stolen his bench swing.
On May 25, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was informed of a possible Terroristic Threat near Bangs. During investigation it was determined the incident had included Assault Family Violence Impede Breath/Circulation, which had occurred on May 24 on 7th Street in Brownwood. A report has been done.
On Tuesday, May 26, at approximately 09:15 am, Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant by phone. This was in reference to forged documents.
On May 26, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of an assault. The complainant advised her husband had been assaulted by their daughter’s boyfriend. Location was FM 2492. A report was made.
On Tuesday, May 26, Deputy Simpson responded to 2800 block of West Main for a dog versus dog attack. A report was made.
On May 26, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was on Spruce Street assisting another officer with a dog bite. While in the area, Deputy Fabbiani was notified of a dog that had been chasing goats. No animals were hurt. A report has been taken.
On May 27, deputies were dispatched to an address on 5th Street in Blanket. This was in regards to a domestic disturbance. An investigation was conducted and injuries were located on one subject. An arrest was made for Assault Family Violence and a report has been made.
