Brownwood News – The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
On May 4, Deputy Andre Smoot spoke with a complainant referencing a lost firearm. Complainant advised he was working out of town and wanted to know if the sheriff’s department could check pawn shops. Complainant didn’t have details or serial number on the gun but would give a call back when he got home. On May 5, Deputy Smoot spoke with complainant and was provided details about the firearm and serial number. A lost firearm report was entered into NCIC.
On Wednesday, May 6, at about 11:30 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 212 in Brownwood. This was in regards to harassment. Deputy Langley spoke to the victim who stated two suspects were trying to obtain money in return for not posting a video.

On May 6, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Criminal Mischief. Deputy Thomas spoke with the complainant by phone. He advised an unknown person or persons broke the windows out of his travel trailer. A report was made.
