The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls between April 23rd and April 28th.
On Monday, April 27, at about 13:45 hours, Deputy Byron Langley spoke with a man by phone in regards to an animal bite. He stated he had been bitten by a raccoon at his residence on Friday, April 24 at about 22:00 hours. Location was county road 588.
On Monday, April 27, at approximately 15:36, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Vick Drive in reference to a welfare check. The suspect had a blue warrant with the state. The suspect also had marijuana in his possession.
On Monday, April 27, at about 18:14 hours, Deputy Simpson took a phone call in regards to theft of mail. The caller advised a package was delivered to the wrong address and the package was taken from Belfast Drive. A report was made.
On Tuesday, April 28, at about 09:04 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Highway 279 N in Brownwood. This was in regards to a burglary. Deputy Langley spoke to the victim who stated someone had entered her residence without her consent and had taken property from the residence.
On Tuesday, April 28, Lt. Pete Bastardo was dispatched to the Whistle Stop store in Blanket. This was in regards to theft of a trailer. Information was gathered for a report and there are no suspects to list.

On Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 12:50 pm, Deputy Scotty Burke spoke with a complainant by phone. This was in reference to her soon to be ex-husband harassing her, in violation of an active protective order.
On Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 13:30, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Whispering Oaks Lane in Early. This was in reference to a welfare check on an elderly female.
On Thursday, April 23, Deputy Simpson responded to County Road 267 in regards to illegal dumping. Upon arriving, Deputy Simpson located three small cardboard boxes and a small pile of branches. A report was made.
On April 24, at around 20:05 hours, Deputy Ashley Harris, responded to County Road 602 and County Road 605. This was for a report of a burglary. A woman was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation.
