Brownwood News – The Brownwood Police Department has responded to the following calls in recent days.
On Monday April 13th, 2020 at approximately 08:00 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a Drugs/Narcotics call in the 2800 Block of South side Drive.
On 04/13/2020 at approximately 09:28 hours, the Brownwood Police Department received a phone call in reference a theft. A case number was generated for a stolen cell phone.
On 4/13/2020 at approximately 18:23 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of Austin Avenue for a call of fraud. Brownwood Police made a report for fraud.

On Monday, 4/13/2020, officers with the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to a north Brownwood address in the 700 block of Cordell Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim suffered minor cuts and scrapes, and an arrest was made.
On 4/13/2020 at approximately 21:52 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Ave A for a call of suspicious. Brownwood Police made contact with two subjects and made an arrest for assault family violence and possession of marijuana less than 2 oz.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at approximately 12:48 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 1600 block of Main Blvd. in reference to Domestic Disturbance. A report was generated for this incident.
On 4/14/2020 at approximately 23:21 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Vine Street for a call of burglary of a vehicle. Brownwood Police made a report for burglary of a vehicle.
On Wednesday, 4/15/2020, officers with the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 1800 block of 7th Street in reference to an assault. The victim was interviewed and information gathered. The investigation is on-going.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at approximately 06:14 hours Officer P. Donahoo was dispatched to the 1900 block of Ave D in reference to an assault. A report was completed.
On 4-15-20, Officers responded to the 2600 block of Austin Ave in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, an investigation was started and revealed the male had made threats toward the female. The male was arrested and transported to the Brown Count Jail, and also found with methamphetamine residue. The case is closed by arrest.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at approximately 15:55 hours, Officer Weaver was dispatched to the 400 block of Carnegie St in reference to a Welfare Check. Officer arrived on scene and made contact with a female subject. An investigation was conducted and an arrest was made. A report has been made.
On Wednesday April 15, 2020 at approximately 23:31 hours, Officer Self was investigating a shooting reference. The investigation lead Officer Self to the 900 block of Norwood, where the incident may have occurred for a follow-up with witnesses.
