Back in December of last year, Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to two years in prison with five years of supervised release. However it was also announced that his 13 months of time served would count towards the sentence.
Now it has been confirmed with Tekashi’s legal representative Lance Lazzaro that 6ix9ine will be released from prison on August 2nd. His reps say that the 23-year-old rapper is being released earlier than the initial date “because he has been the perfect model prisoner since his incarceration.”
Tekashi’s charges initially carried a minimum sentence of 47 years in prison, with a maximum sentence of life in prison. However because of Tekashi’s cooperation with authorities, he received a more lenient sentence.
