Vonnie was born Monday, July 12, 1926 in Albany, Texas to Samuel and Lorena Spurlock.  Vonnie graduated from May ISD and attended Brownwood Vocational School of Nursing to receive her LVN.  She was a LVN for the State School in Brownwood for 20 years until she retired.  She married John Stockman on February, 9, 1946 where their union was blessed with 4 children.  After John’s passing in 1992, she married Lonneal Guthrie on February 10, 1996.  Vonnie enjoyed quilting and was a member of the WMCA at Early United Methodist Church.  She made each of her family members a personalized quilt.  She also enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.  Most of all Vonnie loved her Lord and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Stockman and wife Sandy, Billy Stockman and wife Missy and Larry Stockman; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Vonnie is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 46 years John D. Stockman; second husband of 17 years Lonneal Guthrie; daughter Sandra Stockman; brothers, John Doyl Spurlock, Charles Spurlock, Billy Spurlock and Burl Belvin Spurlock; sister, Gladyce Rasberry.

Her family would like to send a special thank you to Oak Ridge Manor, Dr. Lisa Fowler, Alfa Omega Hospice and their wonderful staff for all the love and care they have shown Vonnie over the years.
