Brownwood News – Brown County came through again. The annual KOXE/KBWD Cherry Pie Auction, held to support local youth sports organizations, was held this past Saturday morning at the Adams Street Community Center.
$16,000 was raised in three hours through the sale of sports memorabilia, numerous desserts and a variety of items and services donated by very generous Brown County businesses and individuals. Four local sports organizations will split the money equally.
Many cash and check donations were also made, including a donation from the local VFW and Auxiliary. Thanks to a recent successful fish fry, the VFW and VFW Auxiliary presented checks of $1,000 each to the effort.

Thanks to everyone who donated and everyone who purchased to make the annual Cherry Pie Auction another big success.
