Brownwood News – Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the following calls recently.
On January 15, at 20:29 hours, a traffic stop was made for a defective headlight at Belle Plain Street. During a consent search, 4.5 grams of methamphetamine was found. A man was arrested for 2nd Degree Felony Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1, greater than 4 less then 200 grams.
On January 16, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was dispatched to the area of County Road 136 and FM 1849. This was in regards to dead livestock on the side of the road. The animal was located and a report was done for the dead animal. An illegal dumping report was done as well.

The Brownwood Police Report responded to the following calls recently.
On 1/15/2020 at approximately 07:57, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of 1st Street for a call of criminal mischief. Brownwood Police made a report for criminal mischief.
On 1/16/2020 at approximately 10:14 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street where they made an arrest for falsification of drug test results.
On 1/15/2020 at approximately 15:00 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of 1st Street for a 911 hangup. Police made contact with the call and made a report for assault family violence.
On 1/15/2020 at approximately 16:00 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of South US 377 for a theft call. Police made a report for theft.
On 1-16-20 Officers responded to the 1300 block of Ave C in reference to a burglary of a habitation with two suspects. A report was taken, and Detectives were called out. Two warrants were issued for the arrest of one suspect, the other suspect is still at large. Investigation is on-going.
On 1/16/2020 at approximately 17:00 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Belle Plain Street for a call of Burglary. Brownwood Police made a report for Burglary of a building.
On 1-16-20 Officers responded to the 800 block of 1st St in reference to a burglary of a habitation with two suspects. A report was taken, and Detectives were called out. Two warrants were issued for the arrest of one suspect, the suspect is still at large. Investigation is on-going.
On 1-16-19 at approximately 20:30 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to 700 Gifford St in reference to a call of disorderly conduct. During this call, a man was arrested for active warrants as well as for Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 <1 G. Ramirez was transported to the Brown County Jail.
On Friday 1/17/20 police were dispatched to a north side address in reference to a domestic disturbance. The suspect has been identified and arrested.
