Brownwood News – The following calls were responded to in recent days by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
On January 11, deputies were dispatched to an address on CR 281 in Zephyr. This was in regards to a domestic disturbance. Deputies located a man lying on the driveway of his residence, barely awake, due to a high level of alcohol and a head injury sustained during an altercation with another subject. The man was taken by ambulance and later care flighted. A report has been taken on this incident.

On January 15, at about 14:24 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at a bail bond business on West Commerce in Brownwood. This was in regards to fraud. Deputy Langley spoke with a complainant who stated his brother was being blackmailed by a woman.
On January 15, at around 12:41 hours, Deputy Ashley Harris responded to a call for Trespassing and Criminal Mischief on Arapaho Road. A report was made for Criminal Mischief.
