Brownwood News – Jennifer McCoy was confirmed Monday morning as the newest member of the Brown County Child Welfare Board. Brown County Commissioners voted unanimously to confirm the appointment.

Jennifer is from Bangs, attended Tarleton State University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and in 2012 with a Master’s of Education in Counseling.
She has worked as the director of Adult Case Management for the last 6 years at Center for Life Resources and recently took on the role of Chief over Community Connections of Central Texas, formerly the Family Service Center.
In the past she has volunteered with CASA in Erath County and has coached various youth sports teams. Jennifer grew up being involved in foster care. Her parents, Jimmy and Terri Valdez, have been foster parents with A World for Children for over 20 years.
