Much cooler air, showers and a few thunderstorms are forecast to arrive in Brownwood/Early late this afternoon (Sunday) and push aside the relentless summer heat. According to the San Angelo National Weather Service, a few storms may become strong, as outlined in their Hazardous Weather Outlook.
Some storms could become strong from Robert Lee and San Angelo to Brownwood. The main hazards will be small hail and strong gusty winds. Tonight, storms will become more numerous, again south of I-20. The main hazards tonight will be dangerous lightning. Localized heavy rain may also produce ponding on roadways.

Temperatures in the middle 50’s are forecast by Monday morning with highs Monday afternoon in the middle 70’s.
