Brownwood News – Dark black smoke billowed over south Brownwood late Saturday afternoon.  According to information we obtained from Brownwood Fire Chief, Buddy Preston, it was a small grass fire between Carpenter and Drisco roads.  It burned Styrofoam, grass and two junk vehicles.  No other structures were involved and there were no injuries, Preston said.
