Connie Lynn Roberts, 59, of Coleman, died Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
There will be a visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with her brother-in-law, Eddie Mardis, officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born Connie Lynn Wall on October 23, 1959 in Muleshoe to Richard “Bill” Wall and Ardys Huff Wall. She grew up in Lazbuddie in Parmer County, where she graduated from high school. On November 5, 1990, she married Doug Roberts in Jal, New Mexico. Connie worked as a butcher and meat cutter in Kermit. She and Doug moved to Coleman in 1994. Connie went to work at the Shoppin’ Baskit in Coleman as a meat wrapper. She was a member of Concho Baptist Church.
Connie loved the outdoors. She was the best hunting and fishing partner Doug could ask for. She loved camping with her family, playing golf and even rode dirt bikes when she was younger. Whatever outdoor activity her family wanted to do, Connie was right there getting things ready to go.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Roberts of Coleman; one son, David Vaughn and wife, Marci, of Albany, Oregon; two daughters, Terry Hutton and husband, Robert, of Rising Star, Shelly Haines and husband, Randy, of Robstown; one brother, Rick Wall and wife, Belinda, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; one sister, Tammy Mardis and husband, Eddie, of Tucumcari, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren with one more arriving in December and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Isabell Roberts of Coleman and Paula Moten of Fort Worth.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Wall; her mother and step-father, Ardys and Dan Norvell; a brother-in-law, Jack Roberts and her mother-in-law, Pauline Stanley.
