Brownwood News – The Brownwood Police Department Offense and Incident Report was released on Friday morning, June 28. It included the following calls for service:

On 6/24/2019, at approximately 1200 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Ave. B for a call of found property. Police made a report of found property. The owner of the property later called the LEC to report a theft. The property was identified and returned to the owner.
On Monday, June 24, 2019, at approximately 1601 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding an individual who may be intoxicated in public. The reporting party stated that the individual was “stumbling all over the place” and “huffing paint.” An investigation led to the arrest of a man for Possess Use/Ingest Volatile Chemical.
On Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at approximately 1559 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 2200 block of Ave. C regarding a Burglary that had occurred. Upon arrival an investigation and a report was completed.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019 officers were dispatched to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a report of an accident that occurred on June 25, 2019. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of 13th street for a report of criminal mischief. Information and pictures were gathered from the scene and a report was generated.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, an officer was flagged down by the staff of Food Plaza on U.S. 377 S to file a report of theft that occurred on June 23, 2019. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 6th street for a report of harassment. During the investigation, it was determined threats were made to a family member. Information was gathered on scene and a report was generated.
On 06/26/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 800 block of 6th in regards to physical altercation between multiple parties, which resulted in a report being generated for aggravated assault family violence.
On June 27, 2019, at 0630 hours, Brownwood PD Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2000 block of Slayden Street. Injuries were observed on both parties, however, no arrest was made at this time. The investigation will continue.
On June 27, 2019, at 1106 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was approached by a male subject at the intersection of 12th Street and Brady Avenue. The male subject asked the officer if he had any warrants, and the officer ran the subjects identifying information. The male did have multiple warrants and was arrested for the warrants. During a search incident to arrest, a small amount of methamphetamine was located underneath the belt buckle that the male was wearing. The male was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 <1 g, in addition to his warrants.
On 6/27/19, at approximately 1300 hrs, an Officer was advised by dispatch about a subject needing a phone call from an officer in reference to Fraud. A report was generated at the complainant’s request.
On Thursday June 27, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Ave for a possible poisoning. When officers arrived the female was being attended to be Lifeguard EMS, the female was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and a report was generated.
On Thursday June 27, 2019 at approximately 1213 hours, an Officer arrived at 2600 block of Morris Sheppard Drive #6. The officer was dispatched to the apartment in reference to forgery.
On June 28, 2019, an Officer was dispatched to the Taco Bueno parking lot (207 E. Commerce St.) in reference to an accident. Dispatch stated that the caller advised that a white SUV had struck a pole and was attempting to leave the scene. This call resulted in a DUTY ON STRIKING STRUCTURE, FIXTURE, OR HIGHWAY LANDSCAPING >$200.
On Friday, June 28, 2019 at approximately 0232 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of 4th St in reference to a motor vehicle accident. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the subjects involved in the accident. An investigation was conducted and an arrest was made. A report has been generated.
