Margaret “Maggie” Gunter age 61 of Early, Texas passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 due to complications from myasthenia gravis.  Services will be held at Zephyr Cemetery with Jim Looby officiating on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM.

Maggie was born on Thursday, June 7, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Raymond and Margaret Waldron. She lived in Arlington for 20 years, then spent another 20 years in Early, Texas.  Maggie married her best friend Lynn Gunter in October 1977, celebrating 41 years of marriage.  She graduated Howard Payne University.

Maggie loved people and loved to laugh.  She also loved to help and give to those around her.  She was a teacher at Ron Jackson State School in Brownwood for 10 years before having to retire due to her illness.  Maggie also did home childcare for 21 years.  She liked to read and had a passion for history.  She also loved her community at Bethel Baptist Church.  But more than her students and community church she loved her children and dearly beloved husband Lynn.

Maggie left behind her husband Lynn Gunter, her son Mike and wife Kashia Gunter; two daughters, Connie and Kevin Gunter, Jody and Jeremy Dalton: three grandchildren Jadyn and Jaryd Dalton and Noah Smith.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local charity of your choice or please help support the myasthenia gravis foundation in honor of Maggie at www.interland3.donorperfect.net
