Nelda Stacy Glenn, 88, of Dallas died March 31, 2019 after a brief hospital stay.

Nelda was born April 3, 1930 in McCamey, Texas to Luther and Elva Stacy.  She graduated from McCamey High School and attended Texas Tech and Sul Ross University before graduating from West Texas State University with a degree in Elementary Education.

Nelda was a dedicated elementary school teacher for many years, teaching in Dumas, Grapevine and Big Spring.  She resided in Big Spring for 37 years, before moving to Dallas to be closer to her daughter, Gayle.

Nelda loved going to movies and sharing activities with her daughter.  She enjoyed sending cards and letters to friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shearon Shafer.  Nelda is survived by her daughter, Dr. Gayle Glenn, an orthodontist in Dallas.  Additional survivors include nieces Stacy Shafer and Holly Shafer Bean of Lubbock, several cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood, Texas.  A graveside service will follow at the Bangs Cemetery in Bangs, Texas at 1:30 p.m.  Arrangements by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to SPCA of Texas (www.spca.org) or the charity of your choice.
