Submitted by Kristen Tyson – With the autumn weather making its most welcome comeback of cool mornings and breezy evenings, what better way to enjoy the nice climate than on the back of a gentle horse? Cornerstone Riding Club in Santa Anna, Texas has spent the summer months fundraising at the Farmer’s Market in Coleman and selling homemade jelly and preserves to the local community.

Thanks to very generous support from local folks, the riding club now has a fully operating round pen and arena for riding lessons and horsemanship classes. By having an arena to practice in, two of the club’s young riders recently competed in nearby rodeo play days and placed 2nd in their individual classes for barrels, poles, and horsemanship.
Cornerstone Riding Club is open to anyone who has ever desired to ride a horse for pleasure, or competition. The club offers lessons on horsemanship, etiquette, and the basics of taking care of horses and their habitat. For those of you who simply want to ride a horse just for the pure joy of it, you are welcome too! Riding is open to all ages and stages of horsemanship. We offer a safe and loving environment for people and horses, so why not come out and visit us? Plus, horse riding lessons offer unique and memorable birthday and Christmas gifts! Our October special includes 4 scheduled lessons of an hour each, for $100 paid in advance. For more information, like us on Facebook or call Stephanie Garner at (325) 642-9776.
