Friday, June 29th
- (No Time Noted) Early Police Officer Contreras stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Early Boulevard for traffic violation. While Officer Contreras was talking with the driver and passenger he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to his report. Officer Contreras questioned the driver about the odor who replied that he had “smoked some marijuana” earlier. Officer Contreras then went to search the vehicle at which time the driver told him there were several jars with marijuana in a bag in the back seat. While searching Officer Contreras also located a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles) and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were arrested for Possession of Marijuana over 2 ounces and under 4 ounces in a Drug Free Zone, a state jail felony, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon a class A misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both Sherman Bell and Cassandra Bell from Breckenridge were taken to the Brown County Jail.
- (No Time Noted) Early Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Salt Creek Drive regarding a fight in progress. Prior to arrival, the caller reported two parties had left the residence in a car. The car was located and stopped. Officers investigated further at the scene and it was determined that the driver of the car, identified in the report as Codie James Ledlow, had assaulted another male subject living in the house with him. Ledlow was arrested for assault family violence and taken to the Brown County Jail.
Saturday, June 30th
- (No Time Noted) Early Police Officer Contreras stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Lucus Drive for a traffic violation. When officer Contreras made contact with the driver he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to his report. Upon checking further Officer Contreras located a baggie containing marijuana in one of the occupant’s pocket. The suspect was 14 years old, the case will be referred to juvenile probation.
- 5:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of Avenue I in reference to a burglary.
Sunday, July 1st
- 12:08 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of E. Lee Street. Officers arrested 33 year old Pablo Celedon II for Driving While Intoxicated. Celedon was released from the Brown County Jail on a $1,500 bond.
- 11:52 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to Riverside Park for a dog at large.
- 1:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. After a short investigation, officers arrested 32 year old Christi Hale, of Zephyr, for Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
- 4:45 p.m. Brownwood Police were notified of a person trespassing inside Walmart. After investigation, officers arrested 20 year old Acey Glenn Sliger for Criminal Trespass, as well as a warrant for Criminal Mischief.
