Brownwood News – Center for Life Resources has been selected to receive a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission in the form of a Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The grant amount is $150,000 for a year, beginning on July 1, 2018.
The grant will cover veterans living in all of Center for Life Resources’ seven counties; Brown, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, McCulloch, Mills, and San Saba. The funds are to assist veterans in need of utilities and rental assistance. Assistance can include a one-time utilities payment and rental assistance for up to 3 months.

Assistance is open to all veterans, from any war era, with an Honorable Discharge or General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions. Center for Life Resources has a goal of serving 60 veterans throughout the year and area.
