James “Charles” Williams

James “Charles” Williams 49 of Brownwood passed away Thursday April 26, 2018 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 5th, 2018 at Little Zion Baptist Church located at 601 Cordell St. at 1:00pm With Pastor Jesse Turner Officiating.  A visitation will be held at Brownwood Funeral Home Friday from 6 to 8 PM.

James was born in Brownwood Texas to Cleo Canady and Paretta Williams. James received his primary education from Brownwood Independent School District, graduating from Brownwood High School in 1986.  Soon after graduating James attend TSTC in Brownwood.  After his secondary education James worked for several local businesses to support his family, and eventually became employed at Dan Hill Containers.  James worked at Dan Hill for over 11 years.  James accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted ling-long member of the Little Zion Baptist Church.  He loved Fishing, and he loved to play basketball.  James was a all around good father and would help anyone with anything.  James had a heart of Gold and a infectious smile that would brighten your day.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Trease Williams of Brownwood, son Derrick Johnson of Lubbock daughters Triena Wilson, Jasmine Williams, Jaylynn Williams and Rochelle Williams all of Brownwood.  Mother Paretta Williams of Fort Worth Maternal grandmother Ruby “Dollbaby” Williams,of Fort Worth, the Nickerson family, his Little Zion Church Family, and a host of extended family and many friends.

James was preceded in death by Great-Grandmother Lillie “Momma Lillie” Kimble, and father Cleo Canady.
