Brownwood News – The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department will be offering free flu shots at the Wheels That Move the World event at the Lehnis Museum this Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17.

The flu shots will be offered in the Public Health Emergency Preparedness trailer on Friday from 1 pm until 4 pm, and on Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. There is no charge for the vaccine or the administration. The free flu vaccine is available to everyone 4 years of age and older.
This flu season has been especially hard. The flu can be especially dangerous to young children, older people and those who are immunocompromised. Complications from the flu can lead to hospitalization and can be fatal.
The health department urges the citizens of our area to take advantage of this opportunity to get vaccinated at no cost.
