Brownwood News – The Arts Council of Brownwood will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Friday evening, May 4th, from 5 to 10 p.m. in the streets of Historic Downtown Brownwood near the Lyric Theatre. There will be food and craft vendors, pinatas and free activities for children, an area for dancing, artists, and a photo booth, along with local vendors. There is no cost to attend the celebration and all performances inside the Lyric Theater are also free of charge.

The outdoor fiesta will include food and craft vendors, an area for dancing, free games, piñatas, activities for children, and contests for adults. Free performances in the Lyric Theater will feature Austin’s Mariachi Los Toros and San Antonio’s Guadalupe Dance Company.
Early Bird Vendor Application
The Brownwood 2018 Cinco de Mayo Celebration anticipates their third celebration having over 5,000 visitors this year. Vendors are encouraged to sign up by March 31st for discounted prices. Vendor Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Electricity will be available, but vendors will need to provide your own heavy-duty extension cords and power strips. Vendors are also responsible for providing a booth, tables, chairs, ect. All vendors must have a tax ID number. A temporary number can be obtained by contacting the Texas Comptroller’s Office.
