Brown County Sheriff’s Office Press Release – On 12-30-2017, and approximately 1:11 pm, The Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of three (3) unresponsive individuals in a cargo trailer that was used to sleep in at a deer camp near Bangs.

It was determined that there were two (2) propane heaters inside the trailer with one of them in use. There was not sufficient ventilation which caused the individuals to succumb to what investigators believe to be Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
Those individuals have been identified as:
John Glass Sr. age 69 of Brownwood Texas
Bryan Glass age 41 of Temple Texas and
Cody Glass age 13 of Troy Texas
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office would like to take time during this tragic event to urge residents to put smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in place in their residences. If you use propane heaters in you deer blind or other out buildings use caution and insure that there is proper ventilation.
Signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning may include, Dull headache, Weakness, Dizziness, Nausea or vomiting, Shortness of breath, Confusion, Blurred vision and Loss of consciousness.
