Hubert Arthur Seale

Hubert Arthur Seale was born on June 28,1950 at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Texas, to Dr. Hubert James Seale and Alva Anna (Shirley) Seale. He was named after his grandfathers: Dr. William Hubert Seale, paternal grandfather, and Powell Arthur Shirley, maternal grandfather.

At a young age Hubert lived with his parents in Dallas, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and New York.

Hubert attended school in Abilene, Texas. He was an active member of the Cooper High School marching band and graduated from Cooper High School is 1968. He married Pam Warren in 1970.  They had two children, Kayla Rae Seale and Hubert Alan Seale. They later divorced in 1988.

He attended Cisco Junior College, McMurry University and he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.

Hubert was a very talented musician. He was a band directorfrom 1973 to 1993. He was the band director in Stephenville, Knox City, Axtell, Santa Anna, Bangs, Roby, McCaulley, and Lorraine, Texas.

In 1993 he moved to Denver, Colorado. He then worked as a Black Jack Dealer in several casinos in Black Hawk and Central City, Colorado. He later moved back to Texas in 2012.

He was presently living in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Hubert enjoyed music of all kinds and was able to play almost every instrument. He was also in a bowling league with Pam when he was younger and later in a bowling league with his brother, Larry. He also loved playing cards and had recently taught his grandsons how to play poker. He spent hours watching movies and playing games with his grandsons. He enjoyed spending time with his son and daughter and her family.  He enjoyed many late night conversations with his son and daughter. He was loved by many and had a very loving, accepting spirit.

Hubert was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, Dr. Hubert J. Seale and Alva A. Seale; his uncle, Sidney Seale; and his ex-wife, Pamela Beasley.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Seale of Hampton, Virginia and his sister, Lynne Seale Barry of Odessa, Texas. His son, Hubert Alan Seale of Houston, Texas; and his daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Ty Bishop of Burleson, Texas; and his four grandsons, Ethan Edward Bishop, Eli Zachary Bishop, Owen Ty Bishop and Anson James Bishop; and many nieces and nephews.

Hubert passed from this life on September 18, 2017 with his son and daughter by his side.

He may be gone but will never be forgotten.

Graveside service will be 3:00 Friday September 22,2017 at Spring Creek Cemetery Avoca, Texas. Under the direction of Girdner Funeral Home, Abilene Texas.
