A memorial service for Leta Fowler, age 52, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Roberts officiating.
Mrs. Fowler passed away at her home on Friday, August 11, 2017.
Oleta Gayle Chaney was born on September 30, 1964 in Big Lake to Bill and Joyce (Kuykendall) Chaney. She attended Brownwood and Bangs schools and was a member of Victory Life Church. Leta married Zeke Fowler on February 6, 2006 in Brownwood. She worked as a correctional officer at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex for fifteen years before retiring. Leta was known to her family to be a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Leta is survived by her husband Zeke Fowler; a son, Joseph Jackson and wife Jennifer and their children, Cyrus, Braden, Kinsey and Ezekiel; daughter, Natasha Chamber and husband D.J. and their children, Austin, Taylor, Devin, Chaz, Kristen Ariel and Tobias; a son, Trey Jackson and his daughter Bryna; son, Dalton Fowler and wife Ashley; daughter Chaney Fowler; three sisters, Sondra Claxton and husband Ronnie, Wanda Cunningham and Betty Chambers and husband Ronnie; three brothers, Weldon Chaney and wife Vicky, Rodger Chaney and Donald Chaney and wife Robbie; her in-laws, Jena and Donald Fowler and her dog Mickey.
Leta was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Joyce Chaney, husband, Joseph Donald Jackson, Sr. and a grandson, Joseph Donald Jackson, III.
