Special Release – Dylan Agan, a Senior at Brownwood High School, was awarded the C.J. “Red” Davidson Scholarship this week from WTAMU.
This scholarship was established by the Davidson Family Charitable Foundation of Fort Worth, Texas. It provides funds to award scholarships annually to deserving and capable full-time undergraduate Texas students. Applicants for the scholarship must have demonstrated academic excellence.

He has been previously accepted at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. Dylan will attend in the fall and major in Agricultural Business. Dylan has been a member of Brownwood FFA during his high school career, showing goats and swine for many years. He has participated at the local level BCYF show and major shows in San Angelo and San Antonio. He recently placed in top 10 at San Antonio show in swine division. Cade Wilson, the Ag Instructor at Brownwood High School recently spoke of his student, “I’ve never more proud of Dylan than anyone I’ve ever had the chance to teach. He absolutely worked his tail end off.”
Dylan is the son of Angela and Shane Agan; the grandson of Marvin and Shirley Dawson; George and Shirley Agan all of Brownwood, Texas.
