Dorothy L. Green

Funeral Services for Dorothy L. Green, age 86, of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Hamric officiating; burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Dorothy went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 10, 2017 at a local nursing home.

Dorothy was born to Lawrence and Edna (Grindall) Arbogast on August 11, 1930, in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Hopkins High School in 1948. Dorothy married Donald Green on July 16, 1961.

She was a seamstress for many years working at various manufactures. Dorothy had a love for reading; she could finish a book in one day. She also loved bowling and playing Bingo or Poker with her Vicksburg friends.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Sheldon Green and wife Rhonda of Reeseville, WI, Suzanne Reyes and husband Ruben of Brownwood, TX, Steven Berthiaume of Fond Du Lac, WI, Scott Berthiaume and wife Juliet of Sheboygan, WI, Frances Martinez and husband Adan of Brownwood, TX, Gerald Green and wife Ellen of Green Bay, WI, Karen Owens and husband Bernie of Beaver Dam, WI; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Mary Skiba and husband Hilary; brother, Larry Arbogast and wife Kathy; and sister-in-law, Judy Arbogast. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, her Vicksburg friends, and her new found best friend, Betty Tillery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Green; parents, Lawrence and Edna Arbogast; son, Curtis Green; daughter, Shannon Berthiaume; brothers, Howard and Bill Arbogast; and sister, Ruth Norberg.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Brownwood Public Library in Dorothy’s memory. Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
