Special Release to Brownwood News – The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers announced Nelda Masey as their October 2016 Volunteer of the Month.
Nelda Masey joined the BRMC Volunteer Organization on November 18, 1999. She has held a number of positions of responsibility in the BRMC Volunteer Organization over the years which include: BRMC Gift Shop Manager from 2001 – 2011, BRMC Volunteer President 2010 – 2011, and BRMC Volunteer Financial Assistant 2005 – 2013. Nelda currently serves as the BRMC Volunteer Timekeeper and is a Volunteer in the BRMC Gift Shop.
When introduced as the October 2016 BRMC Volunteer of the Month, she stated that she has enjoyed working with and serving the BRMC Staff, Volunteers, Patients, and Visitors at BRMC during her 17 years as a Volunteer. Nelda has accumulated over 19,950 hours of Volunteer Services at BRMC.
The Volunteer of the Month Award is awarded by the BRMC Volunteers each month during the year. Recipients of the Award receive recognition and lunch at the Executive Board Meeting held in the month following the month for which they are selected.
The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer and are actively soliciting new members. If you have an interest in volunteering a minimum of 6 to 8 hours per month, BRMC Volunteering will meet your needs.
