Various Veterans Day programs and activities have been announced by Brownwood ISD elementary schools to honor the brave men and women who have served in our military.
Listed below are the Veterans Day Programs planned for each campus:
Northwest Elementary (Nov. 11 – 8:15 a.m.)
The program will feature students singing patriotic songs, a flag salute, and Navy Veteran and Northwest Elementary Teacher, Jeremy Clark will speak.
Woodland Heights (Nov. 11 – 9:00 a.m.)
The Woodland Heights Elementary program will take place at the flag pole and will feature guest speakers and a performance by first grade students. All former and current members of the U.S. Armed Forces are invited to attend.
East Elementary (Nov. 11 – 8:15 a.m.)
The program will be held in the East Elementary gym and Dr. Stephen Kelly will be the guest speaker. All veterans who have served or are currently serving, in addition to Gold Star Families who have lost a loved one, are invited to attend. Reserved seating will be available to honor special guests. Coggin Elementary (Nov. 15 & Nov. 17 – 6:00 p.m.)
The program will take place in the Coggin Elementary auditorium on both nights. All area veterans are invited to the program that will feature students performing a concert to honor their service.
