Brownwood Police respond to stabbing on 7th Street

On Tuesday, November 8th at 2:46 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon. Officers located a victim with non life threatening stab wounds.

The victim was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center and later released. Witness statements and evidence from the scene were gathered by detectives and an arrest warrant was issued for a known suspect. A long-standing rivalry between the victim and suspect had been noted. On Wednesday morning, 39 year old Jaimie Arredondo was arrested. Arredondo is currently being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Below are additional law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, November 9, 2016. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.

Tuesday, November 8th

* 8:25 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to a domestic violence call from the 300 block of Center Avenue. Criminal mischief was also reported, with officers documenting damaged tires to a vehicle at the address.

* 12:18 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a call regarding family violence/assualt near the 300 block of Bluffview Drive. A report has been filed.

* 4:17 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report a .22 rifle was stolen by an unknown suspect.

* 7 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Durham Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. During the investigation drug paraphernalia was discovered and citations were issued.
