Early voting in the 2016 General Election continues this week, Monday, October 31st through November 4th. Registered voters are reminded to cast their ballots in the presidential and other important elections this year.
Brown County had 5491 ballots cast in the first week of early voting. This week continues with 331 more people voting as of 1 p.m. on Monday.
Assistant Elections Administrator Larry Franks stated that he is very pleased with the turn out so far in Brown County. He explained that this total is 12% above the number of ballots cast in comparison to the number cast in the 2012 General Election at this point in early voting.
“I’m excited that Brown County has turned out like they have, I mean, we’re at a record pace and I hope we keep it up,” said Franks. “If we could meet the 10,000 mark in early voting this week, that would really be exciting.”
