Brownwood Police released the following information regarding a body which was found in Brownwood on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016, members of the Brownwood Police Department located a deceased male subject near a creek in the 700 block of W. Commerce Street. Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Division were conducting a search of the wooded area for Braulio Arriaga, Jr. who had been missing since October 4. The clothing of the deceased subject matches that of Mr. Arriaga.

Brown County Justice of the Peace Mike Holder has ordered an autopsy to determine the person’s identification and cause of death. The body will be transported to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
