Wednesday, October 12
*3:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Brin Street regarding an assault.
Thursday, October 13
*11:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of N. Center Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, an employee reported that a male suspect entered the store and stole a bag of pipe tobacco before running out of the store. The suspect was located and found to be in possession of the stolen property, the report states. The suspect was issued a citation for class C theft of property and the property was returned to the business, according to the report.
*1:16 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant’s wallet was stolen from a shopping basket while she was at a local business in the 400 block of W. Commerce.
*1:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding a counterfeit bill passed for a deposit at a local bank. According to the report, the bill was originally passed at a business in Early, Texas. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*2:45 PM – The Brownwood City Marshal was in the 400 block of W. Commerce when he saw a known subject holding a cardboard sign on a business property. The marshal told the subject to move on but the subject adamantly shook his head no from side to side. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the subject, identified as 56-year-old James Tindle for disorderly conduct.
*4:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Campa Drive regarding criminal trespass of a habitation.
*8:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue E regarding the theft of a mountain bike.
*8:47 PM – Brownwood Police received information that a known female subject was actively distributing methamphetamine at a North Brownwood apartment complex. According to the report, officers and narcotics arrived on scene and observed a vehicle matching the suspect’s leaving the complex. After a traffic violation, the vehicle was stopped and during an investigation the female passenger, identified as 35-year-old Stephanie Renea Baker, immediately surrendered a small baggie of marijuana, the report states. While investigating the vehicle, officers found a backpack belonging to Baker which contained a larger quantity of marijuana, the report states. Investigation of the backpack discovered an altered area of the bag, which held a container full of small baggies of what was believed to be methamphetamine, the report states. As a result of this stop, Baker was arrested and charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. Baker was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $11,500 as of Friday morning. The driver of the vehicle was released from the scene, according to police.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Hallie Shae Crouch of Brownwood on a warrant related to delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Robert Wayne Forbess of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/probation violation credit card abuse. Forbess was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Friday morning.
*Bell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Enrique Garza, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/indecency with a child. Garza was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $60,000 bond as of Friday morning.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 55-year-old Leo Manley of Coleman, Texas on a warrant related to expired driver’s license.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Ladona Parker of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/without financial responsibility.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Rebecca Louise Salyer of Brownwood on a warrant related to forgery.
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Aaron Lee Shelton of Dublin, Texas on warrants related to sex offender duty to register (Comanche County) and a parole violation. Shelton was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Friday morning.
Friday, October 14
*2:24 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Magnolia Street regarding a disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 54-year-old Zachary Wilson Evans of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury/family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Alex Larue Fischer of Brownwood on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/tampering/fabricating physical evidence and motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance. Fisher was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond as of Friday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Daniel Madrid of Pecos, Texas on a warrant related to indecency with a child sexual contact. Madrid was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Friday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Lakisha Jenae Stembridge of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams, evading arrest/detention with vehicle, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility and on a Burnett County warrant related to possession of a controlled substance. Stembridge was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $14,000 as of Friday morning.
