*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief at a location on County Road 334.
Friday, September 30
*1:43 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant who stated he had been bitten by a small stray dog.
Sunday, October 2
*2:58 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an assault that had occurred in the county. According to the report, a female complainant stated she had been assaulted by three known females at a residence on County Road 592 in Early, Texas.
Monday, October 3
*3:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Center Avenue regarding theft of property. According to the report, a female suspect entered a local business and filled out a job application and then stole 10 necklaces valued at a total of $742. The female then went to another store down the street and tried to sell the jewelry to an employee there.
*5:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Avenue G regarding allegations of an assaultive threat or offensive touch.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief and theft of a license plate. Two possible suspects were identified.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 64-year-old Ryan Weathermon Referda of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear possession of a controlled substance. Referda was being held on $30,000 bond as of Tuesday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Charlotte Ann Story of Gardendale, Texas on warrants related to failure to appear/forgery-elderly and failure to appear/fraudulent use of identifying information. Story was being held on bonds totaling $45,000 as of Tuesday.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 43-year-old Robert Wayne Thomas of Brownwood for public intoxication.
Tuesday, October 4
*10:53 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding forgery. According to the report, the bank had received a counterfeit $100 bill.
*12:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of 1st Street regarding the theft of a lawnmower.
*6:58 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on County Road 616 regarding an aggravated robbery that occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on October 3rd. The deputy searched the area last traveled by the suspect but did not locate any evidence, the report states.
*10:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding indecent exposure.
*Early Police arrested 32-year-old Joshua James Stovall of Early on a warrant related to violation of bond/protective order.
Wednesday, October 5
*12:01 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle speeding south on Belle Plain Street and made a traffic stop at Belle Plain and Hackberry Streets. According to the report, the driver failed to stop for police and continued to drive away for several miles until parking the vehicle and running away on foot. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
