Monday, September 26
*9:46 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the area of Avenue J and 2nd Street regarding an electrical problem. Firefighters arrived on scene to find no power in the area. Fire crews made sure area was safe until Oncor arrived.
Tuesday, September 27
*7:46 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1700 block of Magnolia. Fire fighters arrived on scene to find everyone out of the vehicles and that there were no injuries.
*6:41 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1700 block of 10th Street regarding a swarm of bees. Fire crews arrived on scene to find the swarm in the wall of the residence. No bee keepers responded and the bees were removed from the residence.
*10:25 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3600 block of Durham Avenue regarding the smell of gas. Firefighters found the leak and turned the gas off.
Wednesday, September 28
*3:28 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the bed of the truck and that some trash in the bed of truck had burned. Firefighters sprayed water on the material to make sure there were no more hot spots.
*4:31 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1600 block of Custer Road regarding the report of power lines which were arcing and smoking. Firefighters arrived on scene, located the pole, secured the area, and notified Oncor.
*7:26 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the area of Hillsboro and Peach Streets regarding the smell of smoke. Fire crews arrived on scene to investigate the area and nothing was found.
*7:52 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Austin Avenue regarding a report of the smell of smoke in the area. Fire units investigated and found nothing.
Thursday, September 29
*7:17 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1800 block of Avenue E. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a male burning leaves and grass in the front yard. The home owner was advised that he could not burn within the city limits and to extinguish the fire.
Friday, September 30
*12:42 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 300 block of W. Baker. Fire crews arrived on scene to find both vehicles had cleared the roadway and that there were no injuries.
*8:31 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 700 block of Coggin Avenue regarding smoke in the area. Firefighters arrived on scene and found nothing in the area. There was no evidence of smoke or fire.
