Brown County Commissioner Precinct 1 Gary Worley won a tight race Tuesday against opponent Tommy Blevins in the Republican Primary runoff election.
Worley received 571 votes or 53.36% to Blevins’ 499 votes or 46.64%. The two faced off 4 years ago in a runoff election for the same seat with similar results.
Worley will now be the only candidate on the ballot in the November General Election with no Democratic opponent.
With this win, Worley will start his second term as County Commissioner in January.
