Bangs Mayfest Schedule of Events

BangsMayfestPonyRides

Bangs Mayfest will kick off this Saturday, May 7th, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with events in downtown Bangs and the Bangs Event Center, located on FM 586 South at Ray Barnes Drive.

There will be food vendors, pony rides, face painting, inflatables, and garage sales throughout the city.  Maps of garage sale locations will be available at City Hall (through noon on Friday) and at Thrift mart and Ripptoes.

A dance featuring Last Dance Band, at the Events Center will begin at 8 p.m. and end at midnight. Admission is $10 per person with those 5 and under free.  This is a BYOB event with no glass containers allowed.

A parade will travel through the downtown Bangs area at 10:00 a.m., led by the Mighty Dragon Band.  Dr. Charles and Donna Hall are our Mayfest Parade Grand Marshals.  Parade line up begins 9:30 a.m. at the bus barn on Gant Street.

The Schedule of events is as follows:

Saturday May 7th
8 A. M. – Most garage sales begin all over town,
9 A.M.-Mayfest Activities at the Events Center Begin
9:30 A.M. Line up for Parade at School Bus Barns on Gantt Street
10 A.M. Bangs Business Association Mayfest Parade
11-3 Cajun Daddy DJ Under the pavillion
5 P.M. End of Mayfest Event Center Activities
8 P.M.-Midnight- Dance Under the Stars at the Event Center with Last Dance Band
