Tuesday, September 1:
*8:35 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1700 block of Magnolia Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to find no smoke showing from the residence. Firefighters made entry and light smoke was present but there was no fire. Ventilation with a fan was performed. The occupant stated that while cooking fish, a grease fire had occurred.
September 3
*3:46 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1000 block of Santa Clara regarding an electrical problem. Firefighters investigated and used the thermal camera but nothing was found.
September 4
*1:20 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Center and Depot Street. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid, then assisted EMS with loading patient.
*7:41 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 8th Street and Hwy 377. Firefighters extricated an occupant and assisted EMS loading the occupant for transport.
September 5
*4:57 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle accident in the area of Opal Street and Commerce. The wreck was determined to be a minor accident with no injuries.
*7:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire in a trash can which had been extinguished by the owner.
*9:42 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Avenue D. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a light smoke inside the residence. Firefighters found the incident to be a fan motor belt was heating up inside an air conditioning unit. The power was turned off and the residence was ventilated.
