Thursday, August 27
*6:46 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 360 regarding a criminal trespass violation. According to the report, the victim advised she had an active criminal trespass warning against the suspect who had come to her residence in violation of the warning. The victim informed the deputy that she had let the suspect come to her residence earlier in the day and in days previous with her permission, however, she and the suspect got into an argument and now she wants the trespass warning enforced for future calls, the report states.
Friday, August 28
*2:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Victoria Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*4:54 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Hwy 279 North in regarding suspicious activity. According to the report, the complainant stated that she believes her ex-boyfriend has been leaving items on her mailbox and in her driveway since they broke up over a year ago.
*7:16 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Lakeshore Drive in May, regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, a known subject has been using Harbor Point trash cans without consent of the president of the committee and a theft of services was documented.
*Bangs Police arrested 29-year-old Alberto Cantu of Bangs for assault causes bodily injury family violence and on two surety withdrawals related to possession of a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance.
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Matias Buitron, Jr. of Brownwood for tamper/fabricate physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, evading with vehicle, evading arrest detention, and on warrants related to engaging in organized criminal activity, burglary of a habitation, unlawful possession of firearm, and on a parole violation. Buitron was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $87,000 as of Monday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Christian Xavier Garcia of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*29-year-old Curtis James Greene of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to a probation amendment.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Justin Allen Jordy of Zephyr on a warrant related to a probation violation/unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
*Brownwood police arrested 30-year-old Roger Ray Powers of Brownwood on a warrant related to unlawful possession of a firearm by felon, theft of firearm, false report to police officer, and tamper with personal identification numbers. Powers was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $20,000 as of Monday morning.
*46-year-old Amelia Denise Thompson of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to delivery of a dangerous drug. Thompson was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*30-year-old Telia Washington of Early turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
Saturday, August 29
*12:09 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Carnegie and Adams Streets. This stop led to the arrest of 27-year-ol Nicholas Ray Delgado, Jr. of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*4:06 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop near the intersection of CR 180 and Romero Street in Brownwood. According to the report, during the course of the stop, nervous behavior was detected and eventually the front passenger, identified as 23-year-old Paige Amber Konig of Brownwood, admitted she had prescription pills, which were not prescribed to her, in her purse. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 25-year-old Jeffrey Lee Schafer of Brookesmith, and Konig, the report states. Konig was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. Schafer was charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*1:10 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Hwy 279 for failure to display front license plate. According to the report, the deputy identified the driver 29-year-old Cody Lee Schat of Early and a passenger. During a consent search of the vehicle, the deputy located a plastic pen that had been modified into a makeshift marijuana pipe and a small orange metal cylinder that contained marijuana residue, the report states. Schat claimed possession of the paraphernalia and was arrested for Class C Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, according to the report.
*5:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Durham Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that there had been a physical altercation between her and her mother. After further investigation, 41-year-old Stephanie Boese of Brownwood was arrested for assault causing bodily injury family violence, the report states.
*7:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Dartmore Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, numerous items were stolen from the residence and the investigation is ongoing.
*10:55 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to restaurant on Coggin Avenue regarding a dog bite which had occurred in the county. According to the report, the victim advised he had been bitten while making a delivery to a residence on W. Main Blvd. in Brownwood.
*11:33 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of 6th Street regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, involved parties had left the scene; however, they were later located and stopped in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue. An investigation revealed that two of the subjects at the residence had been assaulted and both occupants of the vehicle were intoxicated, the report states. As a result of this call 34-year-old Jamie Seale Bloom of Brownwood was arrested for assault with injury and injury to an elderly person with intentional bodily injury and 28-year-old Weslee Travis Rockman of Brookesmith was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Rockman had driven the vehicle from the scene of the assault to the location on Austin Avenue, according to the report.
*An Early Police officer located a motorcycle matching the description of a motorcycle which had been broadcast earlier by the Brownwood Police Department. The officer confirmed the license plate and attempted to make contact with a male subject in an apartment where the motorcycle was parked, in the 100 block of Orchard Drive. Further investigation located a key belonging to the motorcycle which tied the male, identified as 44-year-old Alfred Vasquez of Brownwood, to the stolen motorcycle, the report states. Vasquez was arrested for unauthorized use of motor vehicle.
*Brownwood Police arrested 47-year-old Christopher Burt Hardaway of Bangs for public intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 48-year-old Gloria Hudson of Flint, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*35-year-old Troy Dusty Humphries of Brownwood turned himself in on a Travis County warrant related to secure executed document by deception.
Sunday, August 30
*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Belle Plain regarding a welfare check. According to the report, officers located a male subject, identified as 42-year-old Thomas Reed Stewart of Brownwood, who was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
*3:26 PM – An Early Police officer responded to the LaBontana Restaurant regarding four individuals who did not pay for their food. According to the report, the manager reported one individual, identified as John Glenn Ivy, was being detained inside the restaurant and stated that the three others had left him with a credit card to pay for the food, but that the card was not good. The three others were seen running on Early Blvd. toward Brownwood, the report states. The officer located the suspects in the grassy area of the parking lot at United Supermarket; however, when he attempted to contact them, they ran toward Home Depot where they ran inside, according to the report. One of the suspects, identified as Richard Ammons, was caught at Home Depot and another inside the LaQuinta hotel, the officer reported. The fourth suspect, a female was not located and has not been identified. The male apprehended at the LaQuinta was not arrested but was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center due to his swallowing several Ambien pills. This subject was later released from the ER; however, a warrant will be requested for his arrest, the report states. 22-year-old John Ivy of Brownwood was arrested for theft over $50, hindering apprehension and public intoxication. 21-year-old Richard Ammons of Brownwood was booked into jail for theft of property over $50, public intoxication and evading arrest. *5:45 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 51-year-ol Marta Jimenez of Comanche for theft over $50 under $500.
*6:01 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Hawkins Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.
*7:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Oak Park regarding the burglary of a habitation.
*7:54 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft at a business in the 400 block of W. Commerce. According to the report, a subject, identified as 18-year-old Randall Thompson of Brownwood, and a juvenile had been caught shoplifting by management. Both Thompson and the juvenile were arrested for theft over $50 less than $500 and for fraudulent removal/concealment of writing.
*9:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3900 block of 3rd Street regarding a runaway juvenile.
*11:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue B regarding assault family violence.
*28-year-old Crishauna Nicole Hardman of Brownwood turned herself in for possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*33-year-old Robby Glen Minica of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
Monday, August 31
*12:57 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle with a defective high-mount brake light near the intersection of Duke Street and Austin Avenue. Due to nervous behavior from the driver, identified as 41-year-old Alejandra Demestric Hall of Brownwood, a consent search of the truck was eventually conducted, the report states. This search resulted in the discovery of a baggie with a residual substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine and Hall was arrested for possession of substance in penalty group 1 <1 gram in drug free zone.
*2:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Bowie Circle regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the incident is pending further investigation.
*3:10 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, several items were reported to have been stolen during the burglary.
*An Early Police officer made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gorman Drive. According to the report, when he made contact with the driver, he could smell an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. After searching the vehicle, a container was located in the back seat near a passenger who admitted the marijuana was his, the report states. The passenger, identified as 40-year-old Micheal Lefkowitz of Austin was arrested for possession of marijuana.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 27-year-old Jesse Cardena of Brownwood for boating while intoxicated.
